A post-apocalyptic event is something we're working on as a future annual event. A Mad Max wasteland themed clothing optional weekend / week.
The wasteland week / weekend will be a fairly large event (based on the interest so far, and past events). We will hold this event at the larger 300 acre Silk Road project area. (The 33 acre primary retreat just won't be large enough). Silk Road area fits the wasteland theme better anyways. It's several miles long, winding through ravines, drainages, steep hills up to plateaus. The sagebrush grassland and cliffs make it ideal for a road warrior type event.
The Silk Road area will take a lot of work to make it accessible again, it's a road I cut decades ago to build and maintain the fence line, but much of it has washed out over time. Perhaps we'll have it ready enough for events by 2026.
The costume theme is optional, attire can be anything from casual, to nude, or toga, swimwear, your favorite BDSM outfit, or build your own Road Warrior type costume. The filming of the first Road Warrior was low budget, actors raided second hand and thrift stores for old hockey gear, leather and anything they could make to look post-apocalyptic. I would think pawn shops, yard sales and eBay would also be good costume sources. If you still have your '80s punk rock outfit with the spike dog collar, that would work too!
A mohawk, dog collar, and heels is also a fashionable option.
Wasteland week will have its own domain:
But it will also be linked from our Oasis 33 website.

The 2025 schedule is on hold, till we cut more parking and overnight sites. (the last event filled up too quickly). We also have to cut a few more dirt roads, and several other construction projects too numerous to mention right here.
We have rental spaces available, for the 2025 season. (rental space and the full access membership together in a monthly price).
The event schedule is also dependent on the number full access members interested in events, and willing to take part in the jobs during the event.
Current 2025 membership options,
1- Vogue Membership, (new) pay as you go access. (Vogue may be available late 2025 season, depending on our scheduling and availability).
2 - Rental space with full access membership. (April through September).
3- The current 12 month memberships can continue on as normal.
We are hopeful Wendy's Wetlands will start with some weekend events. They're having trouble getting the cost to benefit to pencil out, they own the building and the land, they receive more for it by leasing it out than they would receive by using the property as a mini resort. The access fees as a mini resort won't come close to what they're already getting by leasing the property out. And to run it as a mini resort, would involve more time in managing it. So they would lose money from the property and lose time in management. They love the idea of a mini resort, but not sure if they love it enough to take that big of a loss in both time and money. (It's a struggle we know well). Nude recreation in Montana is tough because there's just not a lot of people willing to pay for it. They are still brainstorming cost and time structures that could work. We're hopeful they will be able to make it work long term.
We will let you know if and when Wendy is able to make a schedule.
Meanwhile we will keep building here at the Oasis 33. We may post a schedule depending on the above variables, and how they shake out.
The show must go on!
George Carlin, Baby Boomers.... It's relevant to the next post.
The Bureau of Land Management operates and maintains a nude camping area called the Magic Circle, inside the La Posa South LTVA long-term visitor area in Quartzsite Arizona.
The BLM has proposed a practical, and necessary rate increase.
The Magic Circle nudist area was made possible by proposal of a non-profit nudist group that works to keep everything ship shape, they act as a liaison between the nudist area and the Bureau of Land Management. The volunteers made it happen, and they continue to make sure the arrangement runs smoothly, it's been there for many years.
The Bureau of Land Management has proposed a rate increase for all long-term visitor areas (LTVA) including the Magic Circle nudist area. Adjusting a 7-month pass from the poultry sum of 180 bucks to a more appropriate price of 600 bucks for the 7-month pass, the rates are necessary for BLM to meet the operational costs of over 1.1 million per year. The BLM has posted accounting expenses and business plans on their website. (Link is provided, bottom of page.)
It's mostly snowbirds that go to the Magic Circle, I perused various online nudist forms discussing the magic circle rate increase, I couldn't find a single person that was supportive or understanding of the BLM rate increase. Many of the people posting were suggesting a much lower rate increase, but not one of them even mentioned any sort of knowledge or review of the accounting documents explaining the operational costs....... I'm looking at these posts and thinking how could these people be so stupid as to suggest what a price should be when they have no idea of what the operational cost are.
I posted a screenshot image of the BLM accounting expense detail on one such form, in less than 24 hours the expense image had been removed by the website moderator or administrator. That says all we need to know, not only are they ignorant of the cost, but they choose to remain ignorant.
These Snow Buzzards don't seem to care what costs are incurred by others to make this nudist area possible, but gleefully feast off the flesh of those paying to make it possible. This is why there are fewer and fewer nudist recreation areas in the US, when these people have an opportunity to pay for its viability to be there, they vote NO with their wallet. These same people have the gall to lament because there are fewer and fewer nudist areas to go to.
To put this in perspective, the BLM is proposing a rate that is still less than $100 a month, a person can bring their RV Park wherever they like, come and go at will, it doesn't even seem to restrict the number of people, they just have to be using one RV, freedom to bask in the Arizona Sun naked, a volunteer group that is working for free to make the magic circle possible, and those volunteers still have to pay for their 7-month pass, and the FLESH EATING Snowbird Buzzards still think 600 is too much.
George Carlin has a skit on selfish Baby
Boomers,
https://youtu.be/aTZ-CpINiqg?si=QzQ5xnM_MGLE3j5q
"give me that it's mine!" "Whiny, narcissistic, self indulgent" ..... Not that all of them are bad, but if the shoe fits.
To add insult, all of these flesh eating buzzards have been received regular pay increases for retirement and social security to offset inflation, they don't mind when their pay increases, But won't pay for the increasing costs of the services they use.
If the Bureau of Land Management were to make a nudist camping area in Montana and give us summertime access for $600, I would absolutely love that arrangement, and I know that most of you would too. The snow buzzards are setting a horrible precedence by not cheerfully paying for what is already a very reasonable price.

Auggie Fest was a smashing success!
No real problems, except there weren't enough campsites, fortunately many were willing to share.
There is some interest in doing One Last Fling before the season ends, it's still up in the air so keep an eye on the schedule.
We will have at least three events next season, they'll be scheduled on a Saturday; for those wanting a single day event you're in luck! Those wanting longer events can come days before, and or stay days later, however you like.
We will have more campsites available next season, that way people won't feel to stuffed.
Toga or Not will likely be the first event of 2025 so watch the schedule for that as well.
The Express Membership is probably the easiest and most flexible membership we've ever offered.
Because we're structured as a membership private retreat, we can't do traditional day passes, but, if you have an Express Membership you can schedule your own day pass. You can get access on an event day, or during a closed day. And a day pass is good for 26 hours to accommodate the free camping option, if you choose to use it without running over time on your day pass.
It gets even better, your membership fees and access passes can be applied to a full access membership if you like. So you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
If you're thinking things can't get any better than that, rest assured they can. If you purchase a 2025 Express membership you will have the remaining portion of the 2024 season for free.
When you purchase the Express Membership your first visit is without any pass fees, subsequent visits are $25 per day during the days on and around an event, and $50 per day during closed days.
One membership and the day pass fee covers you and your domestic partner at no extra charge.
It's easy to get started, here's how.
Go to the membership options page, find the PayPal tab for Exposure Membership, click that and pay $233.00 . And that's all you have to do!
PayPal sends us a notification, and we will be in touch. Then schedule days when you want them.
Allow us 24 hours to get back to you, most of the time you'll hear from us much sooner.

Auggie Fest 16th 17th and 18th of August, 2024.
It looks like the turnout is going to be pretty good, and we still have room, camping will be very tight but we can make it work.
Some are using the Reserve or Express Membership, and planning to make it in for a day trip, and that's fine just so that those doing that know, we will make room for them if they get there and decide to sleep over.
Saturday the 17th will be the most crowded so if you want a lot of activity that would be the day to go.
Saturday the 10th will be the least crowded, probably only a few handfuls of people. If you were desiring some exposure with few people this would be the day.
Either way though the place is pretty spread out, any of the days you should be able to find the consistency you're looking for.
It'll likely be pretty hot, but we'll have the shower setups, and the small pools are also filled up.
If you want to do it, let us know and we will get you signed up. We can only do advanced listings, drop-ins obviously won't work.
Still room if you're coming....
If you are over 25, and under 43 years, take advantage of the Next Generation discount of 33% off, applies to most Memberships and Membership Passes.
Single females above 25 years up to any age, can also receive the 33% discount for most Memberships and Membership Passes
You must be at least 25 years of age to join the Oasis 33.
Contact us for discount totals.
We still have a few sites left for Auggie Fest!
Here's a brief rundown of what's available:
Two sites than can accommodate a medium size RV. These are closer to the front.
Two more sites up in the four-wheel drive access area.
One or two sites that should accommodate van or tent campers, near the end of Wonderland ave.
Keep in mind these sites are all rough cut parking type areas that are only semi level.
And, we still have some room for dispersed camping.
These could change quickly since I'm waiting on a few people to confirm. If you want to get in on Auggie Fest let us know as soon as you can!
Auggie Fest will likely be the Last event this season. We just won't have time to do anymore events this year.
Meanwhile, whatever you do, stay cool! It's been a hot one.
We are again taking reservations for Auggie Fest, and Pre-Fest.
We were able to get the entrance road fixed, that's going to allow us to get more people in, it's not perfect but good enough, and we're going to run with it.
If you still want in on Auggie Fest there's still time so hit us up.
Pre-Fest is the weekend before Auggie Fest, it starts with a barbecue on Saturday August 10th, it's included at no extra charge with an Auggie Fest membership. Those wanting to start early or camp through the week before Auggie Fest are able to do so.
Auggie Fest is of course on August 16th 17th and 18th. And it also includes a barbecue on Friday evening the 16th Saturday evening the 17th.
Now that we have the road access, we will have probably three spaces in front for larger RVs perhaps 30 ft or so. We have about two smaller size campsites available at the end of wonderland avenue, and two other smaller sites available on New world drive, just above the pool area. And if you're The adventurous sort that travels in an off-road camping type rig four wheel drive high clearance, we have three spots that are way up on top, it's at the triangle where New world drive meets Mulholland drive. There are no signs up for Mulholland drive because it's still being cut, and isn't practically drivable, you'll have to access those upper sites from New world drive.
Bear in mind that all of the campsites, are just rough out dozer cuts, only marginally level.
If you want to just camp anywhere, and have a small vehicle, very small RV, camper van, tent we can set you up with dispersed camping. And we will make sure that we have room for you.
None of this is on the schedule yet, the new access is a recent development.
The rates are 233 for campsite, two people includes everything barbecues, Pre-Fest Auggie Fest etc.
133 for up to two people for dispersed camping, also includes everything, all the barbecues Auggie Fest Pre-Fest etc.
Get with us to get your Auggie Fest membership reservation, or if you have questions.
It's clothing optional so pack light. If your tent camping bring plenty of padding, the ground is Rocky and hard.
National Skinny dip day is just around the corner!
You can join them for Noble causes and get Nude!
Whatever you do, be sure to do something naked.
The first Auggie Fest newsletter went out June 3rd.
If you have reservations for Auggie Fest, you should have received it, check your inbox, and spam etc.
If you didn't receive it let us know so that we can fix it. You will need the newsletter as it has address, directions, contact numbers etc.
It's hard to imagine something better than Back to Nature Night.
In the horse business we had a saying: There ain't a better deal, till a better deal comes along.
Meaning that, at auction you may get an animal you think is a really good deal. As the auction continues, another animal comes through that may sell for a better price, a better animal or both. The better deal that came along.
The only thing better than Nature Night at Lolo Hot springs, is two Back to Nature Nights! According to their website Nature Nights are back on Sunday and Wednesday.
If it sounds too good to be true, check it out for yourself! A link is provided on our page: Nude Venues, Other....
The Nude Venues Page is a directory we provide to help nudist just like you find places to get naked.... Let your fingers do the walking!

Kaniksu Ranch has opened for the season!
It looks like their season just started on Memorial Day, a lot of people from here have traveled there. It's a nice place! They are a family friendly nudist resort. And it looks like they do day passes, weekly, full season and everything in between. It's out by Loon Lake Washington, their website link is listed on our directory page of nudist venues. Their website also includes a handy price sheet, my understanding, at least it looks to me like one would add the day pass fee to the camping fees for each day. Let me know if that pricing is not correct. But it looks like they will set you up with any variation of days and nights you want.
It's my understanding Kaniksu Ranch is one of the original nudist resorts having been founded back in the 1930s.
